Macron will visit India from February 17-19 (for three days), the Indian Ministry of External Affairs announced on Tuesday. In this context, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Macron will hold talks on strengthening bilateral cooperation in a wide range of areas. It has been clarified that the two leaders will discuss regional and global issues including the Indo-Pacific region. It has also been revealed that Macron will participate in the AI ​​Impact Summit to be held in Delhi. It has been clarified that Modi and Macron will jointly launch the 'India-France Year of Innovation' in the country's financial capital Mumbai. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs has issued a statement to this effect.

"Modi and Macron will exchange views on key regional and global issues of mutual interest, including cooperation in the Indo-Pacific. This reflects the growing strategic partnership between the two countries. Macron's India tour will serve to further strengthen mutual trust and relations in the strategic partnership between the two countries," the Indian Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement.

Macron to visit India at Modi's invitation
French President Emmanuel Macron is visiting India at the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Macron will be on a three-day visit to India. On this occasion, he will participate in the AI ​​Impact Summit to be held in the national capital Delhi. This is the first AI Summit to be held in the countries of the Global South (developing countries). The summit reflects the importance that India and France attach to cooperation in emerging and key technologies, including artificial intelligence. Modi and Macron will also jointly launch the 'India-France Year of Innovation 2026' in Mumbai. Its main objective is to further enhance mutual cooperation in areas such as innovation, technology and research.
Biggest defense deal possible: ------
Also, during Macron's visit to India, India will sign a big defense deal with France. It will sign a deal to buy 114 Rafale fighter jets at a cost of Rs 3.25 lakh crore. If this deal is finalized, it will be the largest defense deal in the country's history. Moreover, India will be the country that operates the largest number of Rafale aircraft in the world outside France.

AI Impact Summit at Bharat Mandapam
The 'AI Impact Summit' will be held for five days from February 16-20 at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi. This is the first global AI summit being held in the Global South. So far, the AI ​​Impact Summit has been held four times in various countries. The summit will be held on the basis of three themes: People, Planet and Progress. World leaders, domestic and foreign delegates, tech experts and innovators will attend the summit to discuss the role of AI in governance, innovation and sustainable development. It is also known that prominent figures from AI organizations will participate in the summit.

Modi visited France in February last year. Then he chaired the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Action Committee meeting along with French President Emmanuel Macron. On this occasion, he said that there is a great need for India and European countries to use AI for development and a better way of life.
