Opposition parties Are planning To Move A No-Confidence Motion Against Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.

New Delhi, February 10, AIMA Media News: Opposition parties are planning to introduce a motion in the Lok Sabha to remove Speaker Om Birla from his post for making defamatory allegations against the opposition after Prime Minister Modi's speech was cancelled last Thursday, and for not allowing opposition leader Rahul Gandhi to speak in the House. Reliable sources said that the motion will soon be submitted to the Lok Sabha Secretary General. It is reported that a hundred MPs have already signed the draft resolution. A final decision on the motion will be taken on Tuesday.

The notice for the motion will be given under Article 94-C of the Constitution. Last Thursday, the Lok Sabha was adjourned due to protests by opposition members a few minutes before the Prime Minister was scheduled to speak. The opposition, especially the Congress party, was angered when Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla later said that he had information that opposition MPs might do something unexpected targeting the Prime Minister, and that he had therefore advised the Prime Minister not to come to the House.
