Dr. H.S. Ballal's visit to Hulakoti K.H. Patil Hospital

Gadag: Renowned kidney specialist Dr. H. Sudarshan Ballal, who performed Karnataka's first 'cadaver kidney transplant' and is the Chairman of Manipal Group of Hospitals, visited K.H. Patil Hospital and Research Institute in Hulakoti.

The Minister of Law and Parliamentary Affairs, along with the Minister of Legislation and Tourism and the District In-charge Minister, honored Dr. H. Sudarshan Ballal and discussed the organization with him.

Dr. H. Sudarshan Ballal spoke and expressed great happiness at seeing a state-of-the-art, well-equipped hospital in such a rural area.

Dr. Avinash Odugouda spoke and gave an account of the twelve successful kidney transplant surgeries conducted at the hospital. He met and discussed with the kidney transplant beneficiary and inquired about his health and expressed great happiness.
It is not an ordinary task to perform a kidney transplant surgery in a rural hospital in the country. With the guidance of H.K. Patil, who stood as the backbone of the organization and cooperated with it, and the management of the organization, and with the help of a team of skilled transplant doctors, it was possible to perform the kidney transplant surgery. He wished that the rural people would get even more medical services from this hospital.

The President of the organization, Dr. S.R. Naganoor and Honorary Secretary, Dr. Wayman R. Savukara welcomed the gathering. Dr. Avinash Odugouda, Dr. Pawankumar Koliwada, Dr. Sanjeeva Chintamani, Dr. Jagadish Gaddeppanavara, Dr. Deepaka Kurahatti, Dr. Savita Hombali, Sri Krishna Reddy Hooli, Dr. Vikram Patil, Dr. Prabhu Madiwalara, R.R. Odugouda, Latifa Kunnibhavi were present.
