Murari Tiwari Receives Overwhelming Support from Young and Senior Lawyers, Sets Example of Positive and Principled Election Campaign

New Delhi:
As the Bar Council of Delhi elections approach, senior advocate and former Chairman of the Bar Council of Delhi Mr. Murari Tiwari is contesting the elections with a clear, dignified, and development-oriented vision. His candidature has generated widespread enthusiasm across court complexes, with young advocates as well as senior members of the Bar openly extending their support, describing him as a leader who represents experience, accessibility, and integrity.

Mr. Murari Tiwari’s electoral journey reflects a long record of trust and repeated victories. He entered public life within the legal community at an early stage and was elected General Secretary of the Campus Law Centre Students’ Union, University of Delhi, in 1989. After enrolling as an advocate in 1991, he remained actively connected with lawyers’ issues at the grassroots level. His election as Additional Secretary of the Delhi Bar Association, Tis Hazari Courts, in 1999 for consecutive terms strengthened his position as a dependable representative of advocates.

In 2003, Mr. Tiwari contested the Bar Council of Delhi elections for the first time and won convincingly. Since then, he has been elected as a Member of the Bar Council of Delhi for three consecutive terms, showcasing the continued faith of the legal fraternity. His successful tenures as Honorary Secretary of the Bar Council of Delhi in 2010 and 2012, followed by his unanimous election as Chairman, stand as milestones of his leadership.

Observers note that Mr. Tiwari is contesting the present elections in a positive and issue-based manner, focusing on unity, welfare measures, and institutional strength rather than confrontation. Lawyers across age groups acknowledge that his clean campaign, past performance, and consistent victories make him a strong and credible candidate. His conduct in the elections is being widely seen as an example of how Bar elections should be fought—with dignity, vision, and collective interest of the legal community at the center.
