Date : 05 Februrary 2026, a raid was conducted on those using plastic in Chaibasa.

On 05 Februrary 2026, under the leadership of Chaibasa Municipal Council Administrator Mr. Siddhant Kumar (IAS), Executive Officer Mrs. Santoshni Murmu, City Manager and Revenue Officer etc, a raid campaign was conducted in the shops under the Municipal Council.A total fine of ₹9200/- was collected in raid operation and strict instructions were given to the shopkeepers not to use banned plastic.Single use plastic is to be eliminated from Chaibasa city by conducting continuous raids against shopkeepers who do not follow the instructions issued by the government.
