Anini marked a big step towards eco-tourism with the unveiling of a majestic statue of the endangered Mishmi Takin, the town's iconic wildlife symbol. The event was led by Hon'ble MLA-cum-Advisor to Tourism Minister Mopi Mihu, along with district officials.

The initiative highlights Anini's commitment to sustainable development and biodiversity conservation. The programme also featured flower plantation at Mishmi Takin Point and an oath against killing or consuming wild meat, reinforcing wildlife protection.
