Kaliachak Police Recovered Arms and Ammunition, one Arrested

Acting upon a source information on 21st January,2026 in between 22:35 hrs and 23.45 hrs,Police Sub-inspector of Police,Koushik Sarkar of Kaliachak Police Station along with force while performing RT duty at Sultanganj area under Kaliachak Police jurisdiction, detained one Sektar Sk( 27), S/O- Soleman Sk of Khaschadpur, under Kaliachak Police Station,Malda. On searching him, police recovered 3 Nos. of improvised firearms and 10 pieces of live ammunition. On interrogation he admitted his guilt that he didn’t1 possess any valid documents of the fire arms. Over this, Kaliachak Police lodge case vizCase No. 113/26 Date 22.01.2026 U/S- 25(1-B)(a)/35 of Arms Act was started. The accused was taken on remand for further investigation.
