Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Bardhan Singh Deo laid the foundation stone for the construction of a sub-station at a cost of Rs 16 crore in Kotia. The Deputy Chief Minister said that with the completion of this project within two years, the people of Kotia will get rid of this electricity problem. First, he saw the strawberry cultivation done by the self-help group in Barabhand village and was happy to see the fish farming of farmer Malik Pangi in Taupad village.
After this, he reached Kotia and there he was warmly welcomed by the Koraput district administration and Pattangi block administration and was welcomed by the tribal Dhemsa dance and bazaar.
The Deputy Chief Minister said in his speech that this government does what it says. He said that he will try his best to export the type of farming done in this area to foreign countries. On this occasion, farmers distributed goods to some farmers.
Along with him, OPTCL Chairman Bhaskar Jyoti Sharma, Koraput MLA Raghuram Machha, Koraput District Magistrate Manoj Satyavan Mahajan, SP Rohit Verma, CDIO Benudhar Shabar, Deputy District Magistrate Premlal Hial, Pattangi Block President Simalap Pangi, CDIO Ramakrishna Nayak, Tehsildar Debendra Bahadur Singh Dharua, all departmental officers, electricity department officials were present and a large number of Kotia residents joined.
