NTPC Talcher Kaniha Organises 13th Rural Cultural Meet 2025-26 under CSR Initiative

NTPC Talcher Kaniha successfully organised the 13th Rural Cultural Meet on 215 January 2026, under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. The programme aimed to celebrate and promote the rich cultural heritage and traditions of Odisha.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from more than 550 students from 35 nearby schools, providing a vibrant platform to promote traditional art forms and nurture young talent from the surrounding villages,

The programme was inaugurated by Shri K. N. Reddy, Executive Director, NTPC (Talcher Kaniha), by lighting the ceremonial lamp, in the presence of Shri S. K. Kundu, General Manager (O&M), Shri Navneet Kumar, Head of HR, along with other senior executives.

Addressing the gathering, Shri K. N. Reddy expressed his appreciation to the students for participating in the Rural Cultural Meet from various schools. While motivating the young participants, he emphasized the importance of maintaining a balance between academics and cultural pursuits, as well as preserving and promoting their rich traditions. He assured all support to schools to promote art forms by providing platforms to showcase their creativity and innovation.

The performances were categorised into three groups Junior, Middle and Senior. Winners in each category were awarded First, Second and Third prizes, along with two consolation prizes in each category. The programme concluded with the felicitation of all participants with certificates and mementos for their participation and efforts.
