Malda Division's RPF Detects Illegal E-Ticketing Activity at New Farakka Area

Under the overall guidance of the Divisional Railway Manager, Malda, Shri Manish Kumar Gupta and under the supervision of the Divisional Security Commissioner, RPF, Malda,the Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Malda Division carried out a successful operation against illegal railway
E-ticketing on January 19, 2026.

Action Against Illegal Railway
E-Ticketing near New Farakka: Acting on specific inputs, RPF personnel of New Farakka,in coordination with local police, conducted a raid at a residential premises in the Kaliachak area of Malda district. During the operation, one person was apprehended for indulging in unauthorized procurement and supply of railway reservation e-tickets using personal IRCTC user IDs.

During the search, live and past railway E-tickets, a mobile phone used in the activity and cash were recovered and seized following due procedure. The apprehended person was arrested and further legal action was initiated as per Railway rules. The arrested individual has been produced before the competent court for further proceedings.

Malda Division's Railway Protection Force remains vigilant and continues its sustained drive against illegal ticketing activities to safeguard the interests of genuine railway passengers.
