Two Found Dead Under Mysterious Circumstances in Jammu

Jammu, Jan 18: Two people, including a woman, were found dead under mysterious circumstances in separate incidents in the Jammu region on Sunday, officials said.
According to official sources, a 46-year-old woman, identified as Anju Devi, wife of Yashpal, was found unconscious at her residence in the Akhnoor area. She was immediately rushed to the Government Medical College (GMC), Jammu, where doctors declared her brought dead.
In another incident, an unidentified man, believed to be around 45 years old, was found unconscious in Lane 4 of the Belicharana locality. He was also shifted to GMC Jammu, where he was declared dead by doctors.
The bodies of both deceased have been sent for post-mortem examinations to ascertain the exact cause of death, sources said.
Police have initiated inquest proceedings and registered cases under relevant sections of law in connection with both incidents.
“A detailed investigation is underway to determine the circumstances leading to the deaths,” a police official said.
