
Foundation Stone Laid for New Library Building of Koraput Bar Association
Koraput, Jan 17 - In a significant step towards strengthening legal infrastructure in the district, the foundation stone for the construction of a new library building for the Koraput Bar Association was laid. The ceremony was inaugurated by Koraput Member of Parliament Shri Saptagiri Shankar Ulaka in Koraput town.
The proposed library building aims to provide advocates with improved access to legal books, journals, and reference materials, thereby enhancing professional efficiency and legal research facilities for members of the Bar Association. Speaking on the occasion, MP Shri Ulaka emphasized the importance of strong institutional support for the legal fraternity, stating that advocates play a crucial role in upholding justice and the rule of law. He assured all possible support for the development of facilities that benefit the legal community in Koraput.
The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Koraput Municipal Council Chairperson Shri Lalat Ranjan Sethi and Municipal Executive Officer Shri Gyanajit Tripathy. President of the Koraput District Congress Committee and senior member of the Koraput Bar Association, Shri Rupak Turak, was also present as a distinguished guest.
Addressing the gathering, representatives of the Bar Association welcomed the initiative and expressed gratitude to the MP and the municipal administration for their support. They highlighted that the new library would serve as a knowledge hub for advocates, young lawyers, and legal trainees in the district.
President of the Koraput Bar Association, Shri Prabhat Kumar Mahapatra, said that the library building would greatly benefit the legal fraternity and contribute to improving the quality of legal services in the region. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, marking the beginning of a long-awaited infrastructure project for the Bar Association.
