
SSLC Preparatory Exam Paper Leak: Teachers, Headmasters Among 8 Arrested in Karnataka
Bengaluru: In a major development in the SSLC preparatory examination question paper leak case, the North Division Cyber Crime Police have arrested eight people, including headmasters, teachers, and two minor students.
The Hindi preparatory exam was conducted on January 9, but a day earlier—on January 8—the question paper surfaced on a YouTube channel named Niranjan Shetty. Following this, Raju, Joint Director of the Pre-University Department, filed a complaint, based on which an FIR was registered at the North Division Cyber Police Station.
After a detailed investigation, the police traced the leak and took action against those involved. The arrests include headmasters and teachers from Tumkur, Ramanagara, and Kalaburagi districts, highlighting the serious breach of trust within the education system.
Those arrested are:
Girish VD, Headmaster – Tumkur
Amjad Khan, Assistant Teacher – Ramanagara
Shahida Begum, Head Teacher – Kalaburagi
Fahmida, Assistant Teacher – Kalaburagi
Mohammad Sirajuddin, Teacher – Kalaburagi
Farzana Begum, Teacher – Kalaburagi
In addition to these six, two minor students have also been taken into custody in connection with the case. Police officials stated that further investigation is underway to determine the full extent of the network involved in the leak and to prevent such incidents in future.
