On 12January 2026, Gram Samriddhi Foundation organized a Village Exposure Trip from Kolkata to Sandeshkhali to showcase its grassroots development work. The visit was attended by the Foundation’s trustees, regular donors, and new well-wishers. The main objective of the trip was to give participants a firsthand understanding of the Foundation’s efforts in rural development and environmental sustainability.
During the visit, participants observed key initiatives such as tree plantation, rainwater harvesting ponds, biogas plants, organic farming, organic fruit orchards, and nutrition gardens. Seeing these projects on the ground helped participants understand how nature-based and sustainable practices are improving rural livelihoods. The visible impact of the work inspired the visitors and strengthened their trust in the Foundation. Many participants felt that the slogan *“Prakriti ke Saath Pragati”* truly reflects the Foundation’s mission and activities.
In the afternoon, participants enjoyed a simple and nutritious satvik village meal prepared with local and organic ingredients, offering a glimpse into rural life and culture. After lunch, the group visited the organic orchards and nutrition gardens to learn more about sustainable food production.
The trip concluded in the evening with the group returning to Kolkata with positive experiences, greater awareness, and renewed commitment to supporting rural development initiatives.
