Mamata Banerjee Leads Kolkata Protest Against ED Raids, Escalates Attack on BJP Ahead of Bengal 2026 Polls

West Bengal Chief Minister and TMC Chief Mamata Banerjee has now launched a protest against the ED raids following the coal smuggling allegations. Mamata Banerjee was seen leading a protest march on the streets of Kolkata, where she protested against the ED raids on I-PAC. This protest is being considered a high-stakes political move ahead of the 2026 Bengal elections.

Mamata Banerjee also lodged a formal complaint with the Kolkata Police against the ED, alleging that the ED stole TMC's internal data during the I-PAC raids. She termed it an attack on the democratic process and said that central agencies are being misused to intimidate the opposition.

Earlier, Mamata Banerjee had leveled serious allegations against Home Minister Amit Shah regarding coal smuggling, claiming that the money reached the BJP leadership and that she has proof in a pen drive. She warned that if the "Laxman Rekha" (red line) was crossed, the evidence would be made public.

So far, there has been no official response from Amit Shah, the ED, or the BJP regarding these allegations and the complaint. The matter is currently escalating amidst political allegations and agency action.
