Dr. M. Ramesh, IPS, a 2005-batch officer, today., (30.12.2025) assumed charge as the Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad. He succeeded Avinash Mohanty, marking a leadership transition. He previously serving as IGP, Provisioning and Logistics, holding full additional charge of IGP, Police Transport Organization.

Speaking after assuming charge, Dr. Ramesh said that the foremost responsibility of the Cyberabad Police would be to uphold the rule of law and ensure impartial and fair treatment for all citizens, emphasizing professionalism, transparency, and people-centric policing. He underlined that maintaining law and order would remain the primary focus of all police activities to ensure a safe and secure environment for the public. He also highlighted traffic management as a key priority, directing that regular checks for drunk driving be conducted diligently. Regarding the upcoming New Year celebrations, he issued guidelines to ensure incident-free and accident-free festivities, while encouraging the police to actively consider citizens’ feedback in all policing activities.
