Ujala Cygnus Kashmir Hosts 6th Annual Emergency Medicine Conference ‘Emercon’ at Rangreth


Ujala Cygnus Healthcare, in partnership with Amandeep Hospitals, successfully organized the 6th Annual Emergency Medicine Care Conference ‘Emercon’, marking a major milestone in Kashmir’s healthcare sector and the Valley’s first large-scale emergency medicine event.

Held in collaboration with the World Emergency Care Association and the Peace and Well-being Foundation, the conference brought together around 140 young medical professionals from local institutions, civil bodies, and healthcare organizations across the region.

The event was graced by Mahendra Kumar Verma, Director ICAR Institute Kashmir, as Chief Guest, while Dr. Showkat Mufti, former HOD Emergency, SKIMS, attended as Guest of Honour.

Senior healthcare leaders including Dr. Shuchin Bajaj, Dr. Amandeep Kaur, and Dr. Harmeet Singh were also present.

Experts from J&K delivered key sessions on disaster preparedness in Srinagar, emergency care in cut-off and snowbound areas, and the role of artificial intelligence in healthcare. Participants displayed strong enthusiasm, terming the conference a vital step toward strengthening emergency medical services in Kashmir.

Emercon 2025 has set a new benchmark for emergency care education in the Valley.
