ASSAM RIFLES ORGANISED MEDICAL CAMP AND MEDICINE DISTRIBUTION AT MAIBA IN SENAPATI

SENAPATI,Dec 29: Assam Rifles organised a medical camp at Maiba village in Senapati district, Manipur on 29 Dec 2025.

The event aimed to provide quality healthcare support to local population at their doorsteps and raise awareness about preventive health practices.

The camp commenced with an informative lecture on disease prevention, highlighting the importance of maintaining hygiene and sanitation, adopting nutritious foods and carrying out regular physical exercise.

After the session, the attendees received medical consultations and free medicines.

Over 363 villagers were examined during the camp, including 144 men, 180 women and 39 children.

Screening for hypertension, diabetes and other lifestyle related ailments was also conducted to ensure timely detection and intervention.

This initiative has offered much needed medical assistance to residents who often face challenges in accessing affordable healthcare. Such events play a vital role in promoting community well being and encouraging healthy living.
