From CID Sets to Global Cinema: Babai Sen Shifts Focus to Films & Premium OTT Content.

Filmmaker and storyteller Babai Sen, known for his work across television, OTT, and cinema, is stepping into a decisive new phase of his creative journey.
From April onwards, Babai Sen will no longer be seen on the CID sets, as he officially steps away from television commitments to focus exclusively on feature films and premium web series.
Deeply rooted in storytelling from an early age, Babai Sen’s journey spans Kolkata, Bengaluru, Tollywood, and eventually Bollywood. Over the years, he has collaborated with leading platforms such as Zee, Sony, Netflix, and Amazon, gaining hands-on experience in creating content across formats and audiences.
His association with the iconic CID set marked an important chapter in his television career. However, this transition reflects a conscious and strategic decision—to dedicate his time and vision solely to long-format cinematic storytelling.
“My focus now is to create stories that stay with people—stories inspired by truth, emotion, and real experiences. Cinema and web series give me the space to do that honestly,” Babai Sen shared.
With a strong creative team already in place, Babai Sen is preparing content designed for national and global audiences. Several films are lined up for all-India releases, while premium OTT web series are scheduled for 2026 on top-tier platforms.
Adding to the momentum, Babai Sen’s first suspense thriller is set to release on the 22nd, blending Bollywood-style execution with modern narrative depth—already generating curiosity within industry circles.
As he steps away from CID and television, Babai Sen marks the beginning of a bold new chapter—
focused on cinema, global OTT storytelling, and content that speaks beyond borders.
