At the Principal Harbhajan Singh Football Stadium in Sri Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College, Mahilpur, spectators packed the stands for the final day of Group-A matches in the Punjab Football Federation's Santosh Trophy—the 79th National Football Championship. In a crucial clash, Punjab's football team defeated Jammu & Kashmir 1-0 to secure their spot in the final, which will be held in Assam in the coming days.Earlier, in another Group-A fixture, Ladakh stunned Himachal Pradesh with a 1-0 victory. Punjab Assembly Deputy Speaker Jai Krishan Singh Rouri graced the occasion as chief guest, interacting with players and urging them to uphold the spirit of sportsmanship.Khalsa College Mahilpur Principal Dr. Parvinder Singh, SP Shaminderjit Singh Bains, and Arjuna Awardi footballer Gurdev Singh Gill presided over the event.
