The fifth Padmapur Lokmahotsava, organized by the Town Club at the Padmapur Ashok Sports Ground in Bargarh district, concluded on Sunday. MP Pradeep Purohit, Minister for Higher Education, Sports and Youth Affairs, Odia Language and Culture Suryavansi Suraj and Jharsuguda MLA and FO President Tankadhar Tripathi were present as guests at the inauguration ceremony, while the foundation stone of the Padmapur Athletic Association was laid first. Padmapur Sub Collector Sneha Arugula, Association Secretary Shirish Bohidar and other members were present. On the last evening, the vine of cultural art planted by the previous devotees in the land of Bodasambar, which is growing like a tree from that bud, is sure to become a big drum in the future and will provide the cool shade of art and culture to the region, the guests said. Town Club President Pritesh Bohidar welcomed the guests, while the organizer Ashok Mishra announced the purpose. The guests lit lamps in front of the statues of Maa Samaleswari and Baba Nrusinghanath. Vocalist Prakrti Mishra and Lipi Bibhar performed folk songs. Retired lecturer Kesaranjan Padhan and playwright Ashok Bohidar coordinated the stage. A large crowd was seen. Pratap Nath, Tennis Panda, Suresh Sahu, Somesh Chandra Mohanty, Jubilee Panda contributed. Manish Rath, Nitu Sahu, Debashish Panda, Sonalika Shabar, Deepak Das, Pratikshya Bariha, Ganesh Meher, Paulasta Saha were the stage announcers. In the cultural festival, the performances of Laxmi Nrusingh dance of Panchkhangana Foundation Cuttack, Rasarkeli dance of Zenith Lions Gurukul, Dalkhai of Dulphul Kala Parishad Bhutibahal, Japi Bihu of Pratibha Institute Assam, Bajnia of Dhol Muhuri Kala Parishad Balangir, Nrusingh Mahatmya of Ashaya Institute Mandosil captivated the audience. Ramesh Gurla and Jalandhar Patel were honored for their contribution to the field of music. The judges of various competitions were also honored on behalf of the festival committee.
