Bengal Super League(BSL) starting at Malda with a group of Foreign Players.

Malda charmed out for Bengal Super League. Royal City Football Club containing the Players from Malda and Murshidabad will face against North Bengal United Football Club of Siliguri on 14th December at Malda District Sports Association Ground. Both teams are in Malda for their warm up practice.

 The excitement around the maiden edition of the Bengal Super League (BSL) continues to build as the league concludes its highly anticipated Trophy Tour at Malda, a city known for its deep-rooted football culture and passionate fanbase.
 
As part of the statewide celebrations leading up to theleague’s  14th  December, 2025 kick-off, BSL took the trophy across key football hubs of the state over 7 days, giving fans an up-close experience of the championship trophy their home team will compete for this season.
 
The Trophy Tour began on 7th December 2025 from Canning, where the Bengal Super League trophy was unveiled amidst vibrant celebrations. From there, it travelled across the state, receiving a grand and spirited welcome at every stop from the enthusiastic crowds of Barrackpore, Howrah, Medinipur, Burdwan, Durgapur, Shantiniketan, Tarapith, Baharampur, Siliguri and finally culminating at Malda. The Press Conference was be addressed by Mr Saheed Ramon, Head Coach, JHR Royal City Malda & Murshidabad Football Club, Mr Amit Tudu, Captain Defender, JHR Royal City Malda & Murshidabad Footbal Club, Mr Biswajit Bhattacharjee, Head Coach, Northbengal United Football Club, Mr Amit Chakraborty, Captain, Northbengal United Football Club, Mr Rajat Suvro Mukhoty, Bengal Super League Committee, who also led the BSL Trophy Tour, alongside Mr Ayush Das, Actor, ZEE5.

Visiting cities like Malda reinforces our belief that football in Bengal thrives because of its passionate communities at the grassroots. The Trophy Tour is designed to bring the league’s energy directly to fans and strengthen the connection between Bengal Super League (BSL) and the communities that form the backbone of Bengal’s football ecosystem. 
 
Launched in July, 2025, Bengal Super League (BSL) is licensed by the Indian Football Association (IFA) and will feature 8 franchise teams 9representing district clusters. ÍMatches will be hosted across 8 district venues, bringing professional football to regions beyond Kolkata and offering local players a platform to gain recognition and experience. The league aims to create excitement around district-level football, inspire local communities and uncover the hidden talent of Bengal, while strengthening the professional football ecosystem in the state.
 
The Bengal Super League will feature some of the state’s most dynamic and competitive teams, each representing the rich footballing spirit of their respective regions. Among the participating clubs are Sundarban Bengal Auto FOOY, North 24 Parganas Football Club, Howrah-Hooghly Warriors Football Club ,Medinipur, Burdwan Blasters, Kopa Tigers Birbhum, JHR Royal City Football Club ,Malda Murshidabad & Northbengal United Football Club.

As like as Indian Super League (ISL), Bengal Super League (BSL)started this year. According to Franchise Organizer, the aim of this tournament is to fetching the talented football players in Bengal. As per team guideline a team contain with Local football players with Foreign players along with the National players. Under 19 years aged players also included in team.
