National-Level Football Matches at Mahilpur's Khalsa College Grounds to Honor Legends and Inspire Youth

The region that produced world-class players like the late Sardar Jarnail Singh will host northern zone football matches at Sri Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College's sports stadium in Mahilpur on December 15, 17, and 19. Players from Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, and Ladakh will showcase their skills, sparking immense excitement among local residents.Arjuna awardee Gurdev Singh Gill, Inder Singh Phagwara, Gurkirpal Singh Pali Palahi, and Commandant Kesho Kripal Singh Baddon—eminent footballers—will attend to bless the players. Farmer leader and football enthusiast Talwinder Singh Heer Nangal urged local residents and group sports clubs to set aside all routines over these three days and attend in large numbers at the Principal Harbhajan Singh Memorial Stadium.He thanked Punjab Football Association officials Vijay Bali and Harjinder Singh Jagga, along with Khalsa College Mahilpur Principal Parvinder Singh, for their efforts that make these matches accessible to the community year after year.
