Jollywood Studio in Bidadi Reopens After Following Pollution Rules

Bidadi (Ramanagar): The Jollywood Studio and Amusement Park, which had been closed for breaking Pollution Control Board rules, has now reopened.

The Karnataka State Pollution Control Board has allowed the amusement park in Bidadi Industrial Area—where the Bigg Boss reality show is being filmed—to start operating again.

The park was shut down on October 6, 2025, because it did not follow pollution guidelines. After this, some pro-Kannada groups protested and demanded that the park be closed permanently. Following the protests, the district administration locked all the gates of the park.

This created problems for running the Bigg Boss show, so the contestants were taken to Eagleton Resort every night. Later, the government instructed officials not to disturb the reality show. Because of this, only one gate of the amusement park was opened, and only Bigg Boss activities were allowed. The general public was not allowed inside.

Now, the owner of Jollywood Park—Wells Studio and Entertainment Pvt. Ltd.—has made the required changes to follow pollution control rules. A sewage treatment plant has been installed, the park has been cleaned, waste is being managed properly, and separate space has been created for storing waste. Pollution Control Board officials confirmed these improvements after an inspection.

After this, the board cancelled its closure order. The district administration has been told to remove the lockdown on the park, and BESCOM has been asked to restore electricity supply.

With this, Jollywood Studio in the Bidadi Industrial Area has officially resumed normal operations.
