LTSU Punjab hosts District Round of National Youth Parliament 2026.

Lamrin Tech Skills University, Punjab, successfully hosted the District Round of the National Youth Parliament 2026, a national-level function and district-level competition, at its campus. The university was designated as the Nodal Centre for District Nawanshahr under the My Bharat Initiative of the Government of India.

The competition was conducted on the theme “50 Years of Emergency: Lessons for Indian Democracy”, encouraging students to reflect on the constitutional, political, and democratic impact of the Emergency period in India. A total of 21 students participated in the district-level round and demonstrated commendable understanding of parliamentary procedures, democratic values, and national issues through simulated parliamentary sessions.

The participants actively engaged in debates, discussions, and question hour, showcasing excellent public speaking skills, leadership qualities, and awareness of democratic governance. Their performances were evaluated by an expert panel on the basis of confidence, content, clarity of thought, and knowledge of parliamentary functioning.

This achievement stands as a proud moment for the university and highlights its continuous efforts towards youth leadership and democratic education.
Chancellor Sh. N S Rayat and Vice Chancellor Dr. A.S. Chawla appreciated the youth Parliament session in the university campus.

The event was well coordinated by Ratan Kaur Asstt Director Youth Sevices and Sh. Shubham Sharma Program Officer that concluded with appreciation for all participants and best wishes to the selected students for their upcoming state-level competition.
