Hyderabad CP Warns of Strict Legal Action After Attack on RTC Driver

In a strong public statement, Hyderabad Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar condemned the recent physical assault on an RTC bus driver. He warned that the police will not tolerate any violence against government employees while on duty.

Sajjanar announced that police will register criminal cases under Sections 221, 132, and 121(1) for such attacks. These are serious charges, and the commissioner emphasized that once such a case is logged, the long-term legal consequences are grave — including risks for passport issuance and obtaining government jobs for the accused.

He added that protecting public servants is critical for maintaining law and order, and anyone who dares to obstruct or harm them will be held fully accountable.
