" 43rd FOUNDATION DAY CELEBRATION IN BELTOLA COLLEGE

Beltola College celebrated its glorious "43rd Foundation Day on 18th November, 2025. The programme started at 8:45 am with hoisting of the college flag hoisted by Dr. Ajit Borkotoky, Principal of the college. All the teaching and non-teaching staff and students attended the programme. Homage to the martyrs were offered by Jashmin Bahar, Assistant Professor, Department of Education and then by all present. A Traffic Awareness Programme was organized at Beltola area under Kamaruj Jaman and Ramesh Kumar Rai, Assistant Professors of the college in collaboration with Honda Safety Driving Education Centre & DTO, Kamrup Metro, Assam.
A grand meeting was held under the presidentship of Dr. Bhagawat Pran Duwarah, President of GB of the college with lighting of Ceremonial Lamp and homage to Zubeen Garg. The inauguration speech was delivered by Dr Ajit Borkotoky. The meeting was hosted by Rashmirekha Hazarika. A great number of dignitaries, including Dr. Manabjyoti Barkakaty. (Former Principal, Dimoria College), Dr. Dipali Ojah, (Former Principal, Beltola College), Boparam Gogoi and Bhagyaraam Terang, (local citizen) and many former employees and local founders of the college were also present on the occasion. College magazine 'Gorima', Newsletter 'Panorama' and 'Institutional Development Plan' were inaugurated. Bhagyaram Terang inaugurated the Language Lab and Boparam Gogoi inaugurated the Infirmary Medical Unit.
Chief Guest Dr. Barkakati spoke on the importance of the NEP 2020 specially, autonomy of all the colleges. In her speech Dr Ojah shared nostalgic reminiscence of the foundation time. Prizes for the 'Best Graduate', Best Library User', 'Best Player', and 'Best Singer' were distributed. The live drawing of Zubeen Garg was done by Suman Sinha, a student in the Department of English. Speeches of the former employees and local people reflect their sacrifices for the college, which led the college to the present glory. Various recreating performances were done by students and teaching and non-teaching staff. Vote of Thanks was offered by Himangshu Das, coordinator, IQAC. The programme came to a close at 3 pm.
