*Ganja worth Rs 1.5 crore seized*

Damanjodi/Sunabeda: While various newspapers are always covering the pages of ganja in Koraput district, Sunabeda police got another success on Saturday. On receiving information from a special source, Sunabeda police carried out a raid on Saturday night. A car loaded with ganja has been seized near San Badi Gaon Chack in Similiguda block. According to information, the Sunabeda police were chasing a vehicle loaded with ganja with car no. OD 02 AL 0801 from Machhkund to Similiguda from some distance. The driver had abandoned the vehicle near Bada Badi Gaon Chack and hit it. The police took the car loaded with ganja into their possession and brought it to the police station. The ganja was found to be 283 kg when it was weighed in the presence of magistrate. Its estimated value is estimated to be around Rs 1.5 crore. A case has been registered at Sunabeda police station in this regard and investigation is ongoing.
