🔷ਗੁਮਟਾਲਾ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਮਲੇਸ਼ੀਆ ਏਅਰਲਾਈਨਜ਼, ਏਅਰ ਏਸ਼ੀਆ, ਸਕੂਟ ਅਤੇ ਥਾਈ ਲਾਇਨ ਏਅਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਲਈ ਉਡਾਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਧਾਈ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਯਾਤਰੀ ਹੁਣ ਕੁਆਲਾਲੰਪੁਰ, ਸਿੰਗਾਪੁਰ ਅਤੇ ਬੈਂਕਾਕ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਆਸਟ੍ਰੇਲੀਆ, ਨਿਊਜ਼ੀਲੈਂਡ ਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਕਈ ਸੁਵਿਧਾਜਨਕ ਹਵਾਈ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਦੀ ਚੋਣ ਕਰ ਸਕਣਗੇ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਯਾਤਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਣ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਜਾਣ ਦੀ ਖੱਜਲ-ਖੁਆਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ, ਜਦਕਿ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਖਰਚ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਘੱਟ ਹੋਣਗੇ।

🔷ਮਲੇਸ਼ੀਆ ਏਅਰਲਾਈਨਜ਼ ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਕੁਆਲਾਲੰਪੁਰ, ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਰੂਟ ‘ਤੇ ਹਫ਼ਤੇ ਵਿੱਚ 14 ਉਡਾਣਾਂ ਚਲਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਨਵੰਬਰ ਤੋਂ ਇਹ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵੱਧ ਕੇ 40 ਹਫ਼ਤਾਵਾਰ ਉਡਾਣਾਂ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਕੰਪਨੀ ਨੇ ਮੈਲਬੌਰਨ, ਸਿਡਨੀ, ਪਰਥ, ਐਡੀਲੇਡ ਅਤੇ ਆਕਲੈਂਡ ਲਈ ਉਡਾਣਾਂ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ 29 ਨਵੰਬਰ ਤੋਂ ਬ੍ਰਿਸਬੇਨ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਹਫ਼ਤੇ ਵਿੱਚ 5 ਉਡਾਣਾਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਘੋਸ਼ਣਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।

🔷ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਆਸਟ੍ਰੇਲੀਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯਾਤਰੀ ਹੁਣ ਸਿਰਫ਼ 15 ਤੋਂ 19 ਘੰਟਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਸਕਣਗੇ। ਮਲੇਸ਼ੀਆ ਏਅਰਲਾਈਨਜ਼ ਦੀ ਭਾਈਵਾਲੀ ਕੁਅੰਟਸ ਏਅਰਲਾਈਨ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਯਾਤਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਸਟ੍ਰੇਲੀਆ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਇੱਕਜੁਟ ਨੈੱਟਵਰਕ ਦੀ ਸਹੂਲਤ ਮਿਲੇਗੀ।

🔷ਘੱਟ ਕਿਰਾਏ ਵਾਲੀ ਏਅਰ ਏਸ਼ੀਆ ਨੇ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ 1 ਨਵੰਬਰ ਤੋਂ ਕੁਆਲਾਲੰਪੁਰ–ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਰੂਟ ‘ਤੇ ਉਡਾਣਾਂ ਛੇ ਤੋਂ ਵਧਾ ਕੇ ਅੱਠ ਹਫ਼ਤਾਵਾਰ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ। ਏਅਰ ਏਸ਼ੀਆ ਗਰੁੱਪ ਦੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਨੈੱਟਵਰਕ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਯਾਤਰੀ ਮੈਲਬੌਰਨ, ਸਿਡਨੀ ਤੇ ਪਰਥ ਤੱਕ ਆਸਾਨੀ ਨਾਲ ਜਾ ਸਕਣਗੇ।

🔷ਸਕੂਟ ਏਅਰਲਾਈਨ, ਜੋ ਸਿੰਗਾਪੁਰ ਏਅਰਲਾਈਨਜ਼ ਦੀ ਘੱਟ ਕਿਰਾਏ ਵਾਲੀ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਕੰਪਨੀ ਹੈ, ਬੋਇੰਗ 787 ਡ੍ਰੀਮਲਾਈਨਰ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਨਾਲ ਹਫ਼ਤੇ ਵਿੱਚ 10 ਉਡਾਣਾਂ ਸਿੰਗਾਪੁਰ ਤੋਂ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਰੂਟ ‘ਤੇ ਚਲਾਏਗੀ।
ਇਹ ਮੈਲਬੌਰਨ, ਸਿਡਨੀ, ਪਰਥ, ਬ੍ਰਿਸਬੇਨ, ਐਡੀਲੇਡ, ਕੇਅਰਨਸ, ਡਾਰਵਿਨ ਤੇ ਆਕਲੈਂਡ ਸਣੇ ਕਈ ਹੋਰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਦੀ ਹੈ।

🔷ਥਾਈ ਲਾਇਨ ਏਅਰ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ, ਬੈਂਕਾਕ ਉਡਾਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਛੇ ਤੋਂ ਵਧਾ ਕੇ ਅੱਠ ਹਫ਼ਤਾਵਾਰ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਯਾਤਰੀ ਫੁਕੇਟ, ਕ੍ਰਾਬੀ, ਬਾਲੀ, ਚਿਆਂਗ ਮਾਈ, ਗੁਆਂਗਜ਼ੂ, ਸ਼ੰਘਾਈ ਤੇ ਹਾਂਗਕਾਂਗ ਤੱਕ ਵੀ ਆਸਾਨੀ ਨਾਲ ਜਾ ਸਕਣਗੇ।

🔷ਗੁਮਟਾਲਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕੁਆਲਾਲੰਪੁਰ, ਸਿੰਗਾਪੁਰ ਅਤੇ ਬੈਂਕਾਕ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਵੱਧ ਰਹੀ ਉਡਾਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਹਵਾਈ ਅੱਡੇ ਦੀ ਵਧਦੀ ਮਹੱਤਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਦੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਹੈ। ਹੁਣ ਇਹ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨਹੀਂ, ਸਗੋਂ ਹਿਮਾਚਲ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼, ਜੰਮੂ-ਕਸ਼ਮੀਰ ਤੇ ਹਰਿਆਣਾ ਦੇ ਯਾਤਰੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਇੱਕ ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਹਵਾਈ “ਗੇਟ ਵੇਅ “ਬਣ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜੇ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਤੋਂ ਉਡਾਣਾਂ ਲੈਣ ਨੂੰ ਤਰਜੀਹ ਦੇਣ, ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਲੰਬੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੱਕ ਚੱਲਦੀਆਂ ਰਹਿਣਗੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦਾ ਹਵਾਈ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਹੋਰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।

🔷ਗੁਮਟਾਲਾ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਹਵਾਈ ਅੱਡੇ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਿੱਧੀ ਬੱਸ ਸੇਵਾ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਜੋੜਿਆ ਜਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਯਾਤਰੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਏਅਰਪੋਰਟ ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚਣਾ ਹੋਰ ਆਸਾਨ ਹੋ ਸਕੇ।

🔷ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਦਮ ਨਾ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਹਵਾਈ ਅੱਡੇ ਦੀ ਆਰਥਿਕਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕਰਨਗੇ ਸਗੋਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਪੱਧਰੀ ਹਵਾਈ ਨਕਸ਼ੇ ‘ਤੇ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਸਥਾਨ ਮਿਲੇਗਾ।

🔷Now, travel from Sri Guru Ram Dass International Airport, Amritsar, will become even easier for international destinations. During the upcoming winter seasons (from November 2025 to March 2026), there will be a significant increase in the number of flights to Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asian countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Japan.

🔷This information was shared by Gurmata Singh Gumtala, near the Global Convener of the Amritsar Initiative. He stated that this increase will not only facilitate travelers but also help Amritsar become a major regional air hub.

🔷According to Gumtala, Malaysia Airlines, Air Asia, Scoot, and Thai Lion Air are increasing their flight frequencies to Amritsar. As a result, travelers will now be able to choose more convenient flights via Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, and Bangkok to reach Australia, New Zealand, and other countries. He added that this will eliminate the need for travelers to go through Delhi and will reduce both their time and expenses.

🔷Currently, Malaysia Airlines operates 14 flights weekly on the Kuala Lumpur-Amritsar route. From November, this will increase to 40 flights per week. The airline has also announced additional flights to Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, Adelaide, and Auckland, along with starting five weekly flights to Brisbane from November 29.

🔷With this, Punjabi travelers living in Australia will now be able to reach Amritsar in just 15 to 19 hours. Due to the partnership between Malaysia Airlines and Qantas, travelers will have access to an integrated network covering all major cities in Australia.

🔷Low-cost carrier Air Asia has announced that from November 1, the number of flights on the Kuala Lumpur-Amritsar route will increase from six to eight per week. Through the Air Asia group’s extensive network, travelers will find it easy to go to Melbourne, Sydney, and Perth.

🔷Scoot Airlines, a low-cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, will operate 10 weekly flights on the Singapore-Amritsar route using Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft. This connects many cities including Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, Brisbane, Adelaide, Cairns, Darwin, and Auckland.

🔷Third-line Air is also increasing its flights from Amritsar to Bangkok from six to eight per week, making it easier for travelers to go to Phuket, Krabi, Bali, Chiang Mai, Guangzhou, Shanghai, and Hong Kong.

🔷Gurmata said that the increasing number of flights via Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, and Bangkok reflects the growing importance and development of Amritsar Airport. It is now becoming a central “gateway” not only for Punjab but also for Himachal Pradesh, Jammu-Kashmir, and Haryana. He also mentioned that if overseas Punjabis prefer to fly from Amritsar, these services will continue for a long time, further strengthening Punjab’s air connectivity.

🔷Gurmata appealed to the Punjab government to connect Amritsar Airport directly with other cities in Punjab through bus services to make access to the airport easier for travelers.

🔷He added that such steps will not only strengthen the economic viability of Amritsar Airport but also establish Punjab’s strong presence on the global aviation map.
