🪶 Simhasana Battisi — Chapter 1: The Awakening

“Begin with Humility, Walk with Curiosity.”

The morning light entered the golden hall of the forgotten palace.
King Bhoja stood in silence before the throne of Vikramaditya, surrounded by thirty-two radiant statues — each holding a story of virtue.

As he stepped closer, the first statue began to glow softly.
Her calm eyes opened, and a divine voice filled the air:

> “O traveler of time, before you ascend this throne, awaken the first virtue — Humility.
No knowledge, no success, no kingdom can stand upon the soil of pride.”
She pointed to a lotus blooming near the stone steps.

> “Do you see this lotus? It blooms in muddy water but never claims the mud as its maker.
So too must you rise — not with arrogance, but with awareness.”
The young king asked, “How can humility and curiosity live together? Don’t they oppose each other?”

The statue smiled gently.

> “No, my child. Curiosity is the flame that seeks truth,
and humility is the lamp that holds it steady.
A curious mind without humility becomes restless.
A humble mind without curiosity becomes dull.
Balance both — and light your path.”

🌼 The Story of the Young Scholar

> “Once, in Ujjain, a young scholar came to Vikramaditya’s court saying,
‘I know every verse of every scripture.’

The king smiled: ‘Then tell me — which verse of knowledge is not yet written?’

The scholar was silent.
The king said,
‘It is the verse that you will write through your life — with your actions, not your tongue.’

That day, the scholar understood the difference between learning knowledge and living wisdom.”

🌞 The Blessing

> “Begin each day as a student, not a master,”
the statue said.
“Let success be the fruit of curiosity,
and curiosity be watered by humility.”

🌿 Message to Youth

> 🌱 Be proud of what you learn, but never think you have learned all.
🌱 Ask questions not to argue, but to understand.
🌱 In an age of speed, wisdom grows in stillness.
For only the humble heart becomes the true scientist, the real leader, and the eternal learner.
