DGP Shivadhar Reddy responds to the encounter of rowdy-sheeter Riyaz

DGP Shivadhar Reddy stated that while Riyaz was undergoing treatment in the hospital, he attempted to snatch the gun of an AR constable who was standing outside the room.

He tried to open fire on the police with that gun.

“If Riyaz had managed to fire, innocent people’s lives could have been lost,” the DGP said.

“The encounter was carried out to protect public lives,” he added.
