Odisha's ITI Stars Shine Bright: PM Modi Honors Two at Kaushal Deekshant Samaroh 2025

Berhampur, Odisha – October 6, 2025 – Two young talents from Odisha, Pramod Dalpati from Kandhamal and Jeetendra Pradhan from Ganjam, were felicitated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the 4th Kaushal Deekshant Samaroh on October 4, 2025, at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. The duo topped the All India Trade Test (AITT) in August 2025, earning national recognition among 46 outstanding ITI and NSTI trainees.

Pramod Dalpati: Electronics Wizard from Kandhamal
Pramod, 21, from Lankagarh village, Kandhamal, overcame financial hurdles to excel at Government ITI Phulbani. His childhood passion for dismantling gadgets led to a stellar 600/1200 in the Electronics Mechanic (NSQF) trade, securing the All India Topper title and East Zone Best Student award. “Receiving this from the PM was beyond my dreams,” Pramod told ETV Bharat, crediting his mentor Sudhanshu Kumar Raj and ITI’s rigorous training.

Jeetendra Pradhan: Electrifying Ganjam’s Pride
Jeetendra, 25, from Phasiguda village, Ganjam, topped the Electrician trade under CITS at NSTI Bhubaneswar with 743/750 marks. An alumnus of GITI Hinjilicut, he previously worked with Tata Power. “I promised to make Odisha proud, and I did,” he said, emphasizing ITI’s role in fostering self-reliance.

PM’s Vision for a Skilled India
The event saw PM Modi launch Rs 62,000 crore skilling initiatives, including PM-SETU and a Skill University in Bihar, targeting one crore youth. He hailed ITIs as “workshops of Aatmanirbhar Bharat,” with Pramod and Jeetendra as shining examples.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi congratulated the duo on X, saying, “Pramod and Jeetendra have elevated Odisha’s honor nationally. Best wishes!” Odisha’s Skill Development Department echoed the pride, reinforcing the state’s skilling prowess.
