Munawar Faruqui Target: Goldy Brar Gang Shooters Arrested After Delhi Police Gunfight

Two suspected shooters affiliated with the Goldy Brar gangster syndicate were apprehended after a shootout with Delhi Police on Thursday. Police sources say that their target was humorist and social media influencer Munawar Faruqui.

Gunfight on Jaitpur-Kalindi Kunj Road

The encounter and subsequent arrests occurred along the Jaitpur-Kalindi Kunj Road. Two criminals, identified as Rahul of Panipat and Sahil of Bhiwani, were caught by the police. According to reports, both men are members of the Rohit Godara-Goldy Brar-Virender Charan crime syndicate.

Rahul, one of the arrested suspects, was earlier wanted in the December 2024 Yamuna Nagar triple murder case. He had been on the run since then.

Targeting a Social Media Influencer
Rahul and Sahil were acting on the direct instructions of gangsters Virender Charan, Goldy Brar, and Rohit Godara, police sources said. Their mission was to kill a social media influencer, who is suspected to be Munawar Faruqui by the police.

The arrested gunmen had recently scouted their victims in urban cities such as Mumbai and Bengaluru.

Both of the arrested criminals were injured during the shootout and are being treated at the hospital. Police officials have recovered firearms and a motorcycle belonging to the suspects from the crime scene.
