*Father arrested for cheating crores of rupees, son flees*

Damanjodi: It is learnt that the Damanjodi police have arrested and produced in court a person named Pyarimohan Nayak (52), a resident of Anlabadi Colony under Damanjodi police station, on charges of cheating crores of rupees. According to the news, Parimohan had been living with his family in Nalco Anlabadi for many years and was running a private tuition business. It was learnt that Nalco employees were receiving crores of rupees in retirement. They started making false promises to people by planning how to snatch that money from them. It is learnt that their elder son Akash had received tenders to drive vehicles in various companies, and by promising them a monthly profit of lakhs of rupees, he had cheated lakhs of rupees from various people for years. He first gave people some money by showing fake documents of various vehicles and then telling them that they would be given money for a few months. Later, he cheated people without giving them money. After a long silence, the people who had given money were disappointed because they did not get their money back. Then, the accused's neighbor Balaram Nayak, who was the first to dare, was forced to file a complaint at the police station. Damanjodi Police Station Officer Pramila Bidika registered the complaint and started an investigation by registering a case number 129/25. After finding out the truth during the investigation, the police have arrested the accused Pyarimohan and tried him in court. The police suspect that there are others involved in this fraud besides the father and son. The accused and his family lived a luxurious life with the fraud money. From the initial investigation, it is found that the accused has cheated about Rs 7 crore, and it is suspected that he has cheated more money. It has been said in various quarters that if the victim of the fraud cooperates with the police in the investigation, many facts can come to light. In this incident, the father was arrested while the son Ashok Ferrar was found. In Koraput district, there are many frauds and fakes taking advantage of the fact that there are enterprises like Navratna Nalco and Maharatna HAL. The police have advised the public to stay away from such frauds. So, it remains to be seen when those who have given money will get their money back.
