Bulu Mistry Turns Vishwakarma Puja into a Stage for Awareness with Innovative Art Installations

Semiliguda, Sept 18: In a unique blend of craftsmanship, creativity, and social awareness, renowned carpenter and architect Bulu Mistry (40) of Semiliguda has once again captured the hearts of people this Vishwakarma Puja. Known for his extraordinary artistic initiatives, Bulu Mistry dedicates every year to building installations that not only showcase his talent but also spread powerful messages to society.

This year, Bulu chose the tragic Ahmedabad plane crash as his theme, recreating the incident with UPVC and carpentry materials along with his team. His installation goes beyond mere visuals it includes a voice-over narration and screen video projection to educate people, especially from the tribal interior villages of Koraput and neighboring areas, about the incident and its broader message of safety and awareness.

Locals say that every year, his work transforms Vishwakarma Puja into a platform of social learning through art. From children to elders, people across the district are thronging to his workshop, not only to offer their prayers to Lord Vishwakarma but also to witness Bulu’s masterpiece of innovation and awareness.

Bulu Mistry said “My work is not just about art, it is a medium to deliver a message to society. Through Vishwakarma Puja, I want people to return home not just after offering prayers, but also with a meaningful message. This year, by taking the Ahmedabad plane crash as a theme, I want people to understand the importance of safety, responsibility, and alertness.”
