Preparatory Meeting Held in Koraput for ‘Healthy Women, Empowered Family’ Campaign

Koraput | Sep 13, 2025 – A preparatory meeting for the upcoming “Healthy Women, Empowered Family” campaign was held at the conference hall of the Koraput District Collector’s office. The meeting began at 9 PM Friday under the chairmanship of Zilla Parishad Chief Development Officer, Venudhar Sabar.

The campaign, scheduled to be conducted from September 17 to October 2 across the district, will focus on women’s health and well-being as a key factor in strengthening families and society. According to officials, women and girls of all age groups will undergo health check-ups during the campaign. In addition, a series of health awareness programmes will be organised at the community level to educate women on preventive healthcare, nutrition, hygiene, and reproductive health.

Speaking at the meeting, CDO Venudhar Sabar emphasized the importance of prioritising women’s health for the overall development of society. He said, “A healthy woman is the foundation of a strong family. This campaign will not only provide medical support but also empower women with knowledge to lead healthier lives.”

Senior district-level officials from various departments, including health, education, and women & child development, participated in the meeting. They discussed strategies for effective coordination to ensure maximum participation and smooth implementation of the campaign.

The upcoming initiative is expected to benefit thousands of women in Koraput district by creating greater awareness on health issues and ensuring timely medical interventions.
