Ama police meeting has been organized successfully on 6.9.25 under guidance of Smt. Pramila Bidika, IIC of Model Police Station, Damanjodi. Along with IIC, Sub Indpectors Mr. Deepak Panda and Ms. Patnaik and other police personnel were also present. Mr. Panda, coordinated the proceedings of the meeting. He informed that this meeting carries special importance in view of forthcoming festive seasons on account of Biswakarma puja, Durgapuja, Laxmipuja, Kalipuja etc. Which is being celebrated in the industrial township of Damanjodi and Mathalput . Apart from organizers of all the Puja Committees, senior administrative officials of Nalco, senior citizens, and important local and social media leaders, mediahouse Damanjodi representatives, eminent and reputed persons, NGO activists, mathalput and bhejaput villagers were also invited and were present in large numbers in the meeting. Starting the meeting IIC welcomed all present and dvised to be very careful particularly in mob managemrnt, reduce traffic and take all safety precautions during puja. She also advised the township security to be very careful and watchful towards unlawful activities of antisocials and have special vigilance over locked and unused quarters inside the township. Many members and villagers higjlighted the inconvenience being faced due to severe rush and unsystematic parking of vehicles in the bysy and crowded mathalput market road. IIC informed that regular patroling is done to tackle the issue and informed that thay have already planned to deploy more police personnel and take special effort for traffic control during morning and evening hours and nalco bus movement times. Nalco officials and others raised unsystemstic parking issue of hevvy vehicles like Bus, Troller, trucks in mathalput square to which IIC informed that regular action is taken and extra effort will be in place for same. She also sought cooperation of everyone to help police in tackling the trsffic issue and advised market committee to be watchful for unsystematic parking. Mr. Deepak Panda, Sub Indpector answered most of the queries raised by the members present in the meeting. Mr. Panda advised the mathalput residents and shopkeepers present in the meeting to form market committee and also proposed to hold a special meeting with them to findout ways to tackle traffic issue of market. He also requested the nalco management to take care for repair of damaged roads near Ambatota. Meeting ended with vote of thanks proposed by Mr. Deepak Panda.
