PENSION BENEFITS EVENT TO RETIRED TEACHERS AND STAFF HELD AT MORIGAON

The Morigaon District Education Department has been continuously implementing a program to provide pension benefits to retired teachers and staff on their retirement day. In this context, a significant event was held today at the historic building of the Education Department, where ten retired teachers from Morigaon were honored, and pension benefits such as accumulated leave salary, insurance funds, etc., were provided. As the Vhief Guest, District Commissioner Anamika Tewari emphasized the necessity of ethics Education in Schools and advocated for the importance of innovative teaching and learning methods while highlighting the need for education that aligns with contemporary times. Participating in the event, the Additional Commissioner (Education) of Morigaon, Anushua Sharma, referred to the Year of the Book and encouraged students to hold books instead of mobile phones.Senior Journalist Dalim Phukon, participating as a distinguished guest at the event, mentioned that retired teachers can play an important role in the educational advancement of Morigaon district. At the event, Atanu Sharma from the Assam Unnati Sabha pointed out that the education department of the district has taken steps towards transparency, accountability, and timely interventions under the leadership of the Inspector of Schools , and such continuous efforts have positively impacted the educational development of the district. The program was attended by several departmental officials and teachers, led by the Inspector of Schools, Apurba Thakuriyah, along with deputy inspectors from the schools at the event. Notably, this was the largest event held under the ongoing program implemented in the district. At the event, Anamika Tewari, the commissioner of Morigaon district, unveiled the book 'Quotations and Sayings of the Enlightened' by Bhavjyoti Nath, a teacher at Baghora Higher Secondary School. Retired teacher and esteemed artist Bimal Chandra Nath enhanced the grace of the event by performing a song.
