Advocate Mir Qurram Ali Strongly Condemns Attack on Advocate T. Srikanth; Demands Immediate Passage of Advocates Protection Bill

Hyderabad, Aug 27: Advocate Mir Qurram Ali, BRSV GHMC Coordinator and member of the BRS Legal Cell, has strongly condemned the brutal attack on Advocate T. Srikanth, a respected member of the Kukatpally Court Bar Association. The incident, which occurred on August 25, 2025, under the jurisdiction of Gachibowli Police Station, involved Srikanth being assaulted by individuals allegedly linked to the opposing party.

Describing the attack as “inhumane and intolerable,” Advocate Qurram Ali urged the Telangana Government to immediately pass the long-pending Advocates Protection Bill to safeguard the legal fraternity. He stressed that lawyers play a vital role in upholding justice, and such incidents directly undermine the foundation of the judicial system.

The attack has sparked widespread outrage among the legal community. Several bar associations across Telangana staged a boycott of court proceedings in solidarity with Advocate Srikanth, demanding strict action against the culprits and stronger safeguards for advocates.

Advocate Qurram Ali warned that if the government fails to act swiftly, the legal fraternity will be compelled to intensify protests until justice is served and the Advocates Protection Bill is enacted into law.
