HMDA to distribute free clay idols for Ganesh Chaturthi in Hyderabad

The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) has announced that it will distribute eco-friendly clay Ganesh idols free of cost ahead of the upcoming Ganesh Chaturthi festival. The initiative aims to promote environmentally friendly celebrations and reduce pollution caused by Plaster of Paris (PoP) idols.

The distribution drive will be held from August 24 to August 26 at 34 designated locations across Hyderabad. Citizens can collect the idols during this period to encourage the use of clay idols for immersions and safeguard lakes and water bodies in the city.
