JD Degree Womens College celebrates birth anniversary of Swabhaba Kabi Gangadhar Meher

The 164th birth anniversary of Swabha Kavi was celebrated at Jagabandhu Dash Degree Women's College under the chairmanship of Padmini Dash,Principal of the College. The management meeting was chaired by Jatindra Kumar Sahu, Head of the Odia Department, Pradeep Kumar Meher, Chairperson of Jagabandhu Dash Higher Secondary School, as the chief guest, Antarayami Panda, Founder of the Women's College, and retired model teacher Gopal Pradhan as the chief speaker. In the initial phase, floral garlands were placed on the poet's photo along with island lighting and welcome and closing songs were sung by the students. While colleague Shashanka Shekhar Padhan introduced the guest of honor, Manisha Bhoi, a lecturer from the Education Department, proposed the vote of thanks. The college's wall magazine, Tapaswini, was launched in a new form. On this occasion, all the professors of the college, Nepal Biswal, Sarthak Panigrahi, professors Jyoti Sahu, Punam Sahu, Sasmita Meher, Shobhabati Thapa, Parinita Padhan, Jgynaseni Patel, colleagues Birendra Khatua, Nrupraj Bariha, Tripura Behera, were present.
