A cervical cancer (uterine cancer) vaccination camp at Gram Vikas Vidyalaya and Junior College, Metpanjra.

A cervical cancer (uterine cancer) vaccination camp was organized on Monday, 4th August 2025 at Gram Vikas Vidyalaya and Junior College, Metpanjra. The camp was jointly conducted by Swasthya Vriksha Foundation and Koshish Foundation for adolescent girl students.

The event was presided over by Mr. Jayant Talatule, Secretary, The Jansevak Shikshan Sanstha, Ridhora. The chief guest was Mr. Salil Dada Deshmukh, former Zilla Parishad member, Nagpur. Other prominent guests included Dr. Vaishali Talatule, Principal, Gram Vikas Vidyalaya and Junior College, Metpanjra; Mr. Anup Kharade, President, NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar group), Katol Taluka; Dr. Jasmit Chandol, Dr. Salodkar, Vamanrao Tajne, Shabooji Pathan, Madhavrao Anwane, Deepak Zode, Vinod Iwante, Mr. Tajne, Digambarji Musale, and other dignitaries.

In this vaccination camp, more than 120 girl students from the campuses of Metpanjra, Ridhora, Dorli, and Dhavalapur benefited from the vaccine.

The program was initiated with an introduction by Dr. Vaishali Talatule, who explained how this vaccine would benefit school girls in their future. The importance of the vaccine was emphasized by the dignitaries in their speeches to the students.

The event was hosted by Madankar Madam, and the vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. Keche Sir. Teachers, teaching staff, and non-teaching staff of the school played a vital role in making the program a success.
