Many Inner Roads in Bad Condition, Monsoon Makes It Worse

As monsoon rains continue to lash the region, many inner roads in residential and semi-urban areas have deteriorated into dangerous and nearly unusable paths, raising serious concerns about civic infrastructure and public safety.

In several neighbourhoods, potholes have deepened, roads have turned into muddy streams, and drainage systems are either clogged or missing altogether.Two wheelers face the maximum problem, with senior citizens and women sometimes seems to falls, slips and gets fractured.

Monsoon is not new. Why does every year bring the same story of broken roads and ignored areas? Where is our tax money going?
