Satibhata Airstrip to be included in UDAN scheme Bargarh MP Pradeep Purohit..
Bargarh MP Pradeep Purohit demands to include Satibhata Airstrip in the Central Government's UDAN scheme. The MP has submitted a demand to the Center for the third time regarding the Satibhata Airstrip in Padmapur. Along with this, Bargarh MP has demanded the expansion of Jharsuguda Airport. Pradeep Purohit made these two big demands in the interest of Western Odisha by meeting Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu. Earlier on April 2 this year, MP Pradeep Purohit had met the Union Minister and made the same demand. Although he had earlier indicated that there was a strong social and economic and urgent need, the Bargarh MP said that no final response or work-related update was received from the department on the above matter. Nrusingh Nath is the owner of the Satibhata Airstrip. This region is of great importance in regional air traffic, regional tourism and economic growth. If the Satibhata airstrip is included in the UDAN scheme, it will be the gateway for Bargarh and Sambalpur districts, said the Bargarh MP. Similarly, Jharsuguda airport is a major air traffic hub in western Odisha. But there is no arrangement or facility to go to Bhubaneswar or Delhi during the morning and evening. Due to which a large number of businessmen, administrative managers and essential medical services are being deprived. Keeping in mind the population growth and industrialization of this region, Shri Pradeep Purohit has demanded daily flights to metro places like Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad and Kolkata. The Bargarh MP has requested the Civil Affairs Minister to draw the attention of the Union Minister to these directions and take immediate steps in this direction.
