Art Exposure - 18 July 6pm (Ballygunge)

Works on Paper, an exhibition spanning over a century of artistic engagement with the medium—from the early experiments of the Bengal School to the intricate surfaces of Raqib Shaw. These works trace an evolving relationship with paper, treated not as a preparatory ground but as a space of finality, immediacy, and depth.

Featuring a diverse range of artists—including Rabindranath Tagore, Gaganendranath Tagore, Nandalal Bose, Krishna Reddy, Somnath Hore, Maqbool Fida Husain, Francis Newton Souza, Bhupen Khakhar, Prabhakar Barwe, Ganesh Haloi, Jogen Chowdhury, Amitava, Paresh Maity, Raqib Shaw and many more — the exhibition highlights a quieter yet enduring strand in Indian art, one shaped through graphite, ink, gouache, and beyond.

The exhibition opened on Friday, 18 July 2025 at 6 PM at Art Exposure and is on view until 31 August 2025. Open daily from 11 AM to 8 PM (except Sundays and public holidays).
