Damanjodi: The Mine Workers Union (MMS), formed by the employees working in the Panchapattami mine in Damanjodi, Koraput district and affiliated to the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, has been recognized and certified. A special program was organized by the Sangh for this at the canteen hall in the Panchapattamali mine area. Eng. Niranjan Samal, Executive Director of Mines and Refinary complex, attended as the chief guest and formally presented the recognition certificate to President Subhash Ojha and Secretary Sadananda Das in the presence of all the members of the union. NALCO H&A Department Group General Manager Sugato Anand Basu, Project Group General Manager VSS Anand, Mining Area Group General Manager Purushottam Mahanta General Manager (O&M) Nalini Kant Jena, Mines H&A Department General Manager Sunil Kumar Mahapatra attended as the guests of honour. While the President Shri Ojha said in his speech that the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh will always work with the slogan of Rashtra Hit, Worker Hit and Industry Hit, the Editor Shri Das said that the various problems in the mining area will be solved by manners. On the other hand, Shri Samal said that the NALCO administration and the union will discuss together and resolve all the problems in a phased manner. The special event was attended by the workers of the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh of NALCO in Angul and Bhubaneswar, many workers from the district and state unions, as well as leaders of various employee unions and contract workers unions in Damanjodi.
