171th Hool Maha celebrated in Malda district with due dignity and respect

The 171st Hool Maha (Hool Day) was celebrated in Malda district with due dignity and respect. Malda Adibasi Recreation Club played a major role in celebrating this festival in English Bazar city. In the morning, the club members hoisted the national flag at the club's own premises in the city's Rathbari area and paid tribute to the portraits of Sidhu and Kanu, martyrs of the Hool rebellion. Then, in the evening, distinguished persons were welcomed and honored at Durga Kinkar Sadan. Dr. Ramdas Murmu, from Malda Medical College presided over the program. Distinguished persons from the tribal community were present at the program. The reporter himself presented some statements about Hool Maha and recitation his own written poem "Hool Maha". The entire auditorium witnessed a colorful cultural program through dance and songs dedicated by tribal students. Malda District Cultural Management Committee President and lawyer Prosenjit Das appeared almost at the end of the program. Sindhu Kanu - He gave a short speech about Hull Day & paying homage to the portrait of Sidhu- Kanu.
