*CISF organizes blood donation camp on the occasion of World Blood Donor Day*
Damanjodi: Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), which is responsible for the security of NALCO project, organized a voluntary blood donation camp on the occasion of World Blood Donor Day at its own Darbar Hall. Damanyodi Unit Commander Satyadev Arya inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp and himself donated blood. He explained about the benefits of blood donation for the body and called upon the jawans to donate blood voluntarily. Deputy Commandant Dilpreet Singh Cheema, Inspector A.K. Ray Samant and R.K. Maharana, State President of FBDO and District Coordinator of Red Cross Dr. N.C. Sahu and Pradeep Kumar Tripathi were present and encouraged the blood donors. Under the supervision of Dr. S.S. Oriya, Officer of Sahid Laxman Nayak Blood Center and Dr. Naresh Chandra Sahu, Executive President of Odisha Blood Donors Association, the blood collection team of the Blood Center, V. Gangadhar, Ravindra, Sanjay and Lab Technician students were present and collected blood. A large number of male and female jawans voluntarily donated blood for the first time in the said camp. Assistant Commandant Amudhan M, Inspector R.K. Maharana conducted the program. A total of 48 units of blood were collected from the said camp. CISF jawans act as a crisis bridge for dengue patients when they need platelets. This great work has been widely appreciated.
