NALCO Summer Athletics Training Camp Ends

Damnajodi, 22/05:The summer sports training camp organized by NALCO Mines and Refinery Project for school students ended on Thursday. Around 50 students from Delhi Public School (DPS) and Saraswati Vidya Mandir in NALCO Township underwent training in the week-long camp from 16th of this month.The camp was held at the DPS sports ground.NALCO Group General Manager Sugato Anand Basu was the chief guest at the valedictory ceremony.The chief guest felicitated the camp participants with certificates, and honoured Coach and Olympian Anuradha Biswal and her daughter and national level shot put player Anshika Rautray.Olympian Anuradha Biswal joined the meeting as a special guest while Dr.Subhranshu Shekhar Bahinipati,Principal of Saraswati Vidya Mandir was the guest of honour.The closing ceremony of this training camp organized by Nalco Sports Cell was presided over by DPS Principal In-charge Miss Sujata Pani and the vote of thanks was given by Head Master S.S. Giridhar.DPS Physical Education Teacher Anjana Kumari coordinated the stage while PET Naba Kishore Panda read out the report. It is worth mentioning that in this Athletics Training Camp,Olympian Anuradha Biswal trained the students in various types of running events like relay race,hurdles,javelin,shot put,discus throw etc.
