A large quantity of suspected Marfin seized. Two arrested. Bokajan

Today on 20/05/2025 based on information a six-wheeler L.P. truck bearing registration no. NL 07 AA 2238 was intercepted and detained for checking at about 10:30 PM. As the truck was suspected of carrying narcotics/psychotropic substances, shortly after the detention of the said truck, the matter was informed to Shri Rustam Raj Brahma, SDPO, Bokajan, and Addl SP (Crime) Shri Partha Pratim Saikia, and 3 independent witnesses were also called. After some time, Addl SP (Crime) and SDPO, Bokajan, along with one section of B/119 & QAT/155, U/C Vikram Pratap Singh, Asstt Comdt, arrived at the spot.the driver and the helper, was thoroughly searched by Inspector Naba Saikia, OC Bokajan PS and 6 packets suspected to be morphine were recovered wrapped in black and white polythene weighing a total of 2977.07 grams. . The driver of the detained vehicle identified himself as Shri Abhisekh Gurung (age 21 years) S/O Shri Kumar Gurung, R/O Nagatako, PS Senapati, Dist Senapati, Manipur and the helper identified himself as Shri Moayanger Jamir ( age 20 years) S/O Shri Tushmer Jamir, R/O Dimapur Super Market, PS East PS, Dist Dimapur, Nagaland.
